Before I get into actual marketing techniques, you need to understand what internet marketing is, and how vast the opportunity really is. We want to help put things into perspective for you as there are so many outside sources telling you that you can’t do this and that making money online is a scam.
Well, I am going to try and end this thought by showing you the real opportunity that exists.
Online marketing, also called internet marketing can be a very lucrative career choice or source of secondary income. Whatever level of success you want to reach online is achievable. For some extra $100/day would be more than enough, where as to others it’s not.
There are literally 100,000’s of individuals online making money through internet marketing…and there is room for many more. People claim that there is no room left for newbie, when in fact the reverse is the case. There are companies out there, begging for people like you and I to promote their products and
services online in exchange for a commission (say 5-70%)
These companies include just about anyone you can think of (eBay, Best Buy, Walmart, even Google!). There are 10,000’s of different programs that you can promote within pretty much any industry. So regardless of what you want to promote, there is opportunity to make money with it.
As an internet marketer, you will be promoting products and services online through the internet. These products do not have to be yours, and there are various companies waiting for your business. These companies have what is called affiliate program.
An AFFILIATE PROGRAM is essentially a system that allows people like you and i to place a special link on our website and promote their product on the web.
The special link has a code in it so that they can tell when and where a sale comes from. It’s automated and easy to setup.
Top Internet Marketing Misunderstandings:
#1: You need money to make money
This is a fallacy. You do not have to invest a lot of cash to make money online. The internet is the only place where you can start a business for as low as
$30 and yet become highly successful.
#2: Traffic Equals Sales
Most marketers’ first instincts would naturally be to get as much traffic as he/she can get. BUT this is wrong. Traffic doesn’t mean sales…it only points to the fact that people are visiting your webpage. The quality and relevance of your page or blog is the most important thing..
#3: People are not Spending Online
Statistically, the 2007 holiday season had over$29.5 Billion Dollars been spent online………and that was just the holiday season. The rate of growth for online
spending is placed at 21%yearly. Although this number is glacial, i.e. still growing. Then can you imagine having a small chunk of this pie…definitely success will come calling. You have an opportunity to grab your share of this revenue.
#4: If you are not from the US, you cannot succeed
Regardless of your location on earth, there are great opportunities online. Remember the internet is “global” hence you can work from anywhere provide you have access to the internet.
#5 Money grows on trees
Money does not and can never grow on trees! Hence the easiest way to start a successful business is through the internet. ONLY if you work at it, then will it appear as if you have your own money tree!
